Interac Corp. has joined forces with the Federation of African Canadian Economics (FACE) for an initiative to boost visibility and support for Black-owned business across Canada by launching a new business listing map. This innovative tool will enable Canadians to discover and support over 8,000 Black-owned businesses across the country. The interactive map not only provides visibility to these businesses but also serves as a resource for large-scale business owners seeking to diversify their supply chains.

As part of a three-year sponsorship with FACE, Interac’s investment will fund the development of the map and contribute to FACE’s broader mission of accelerating wealth creation for the Black community in Canada. The partnership reflects a commitment to breaking down barriers and creating an environment where Black entrepreneurs can thrive. By supporting the development of tools like the business listing map and knowledge center, Interac and FACE aim to empower Black entrepreneurs, foster inclusivity, and drive positive change throughout Canada.

The announcement recognizes the disparities faced by Black entrepreneurs, such as starting with less capital and receiving less venture capital funding, despite being more likely to start businesses than other ethnic groups. The collaborative efforts between Interac and FACE aim to create a roadmap for accelerating wealth creation and uplift the vibrant community of Black entrepreneurs in Canada.
