Dangote Packaging Limited (DPL), a key subsidiary of Dangote Industries, is ramping up its growth trajectory across Africa following a significant enhancement in production capacity.

The installation of state-of-the-art machinery at two of its manufacturing facilities has boosted monthly output of polypropylene bags from 36 million to 52 million units – a development that positions the company for greater market reach and operational efficiency.

With robust domestic demand already being met, DPL is now setting its sights beyond Nigeria’s borders. The surplus production will be directed toward neighboring African markets, reinforcing the company’s role as a regional exporter and a contributor to foreign exchange earnings.

“We have established a dedicated export team, upgraded our infrastructure, and secured a reliable internal supply of raw materials through the Dangote Refinery and petrochemical plants,” said senior management in a recent statement. “This self-sufficiency lays a solid foundation for long-term, sustainable growth.”

The move aligns with the broader strategic vision of the Dangote Group to expand its industrial presence and drive regional economic integration. Increased production capacity is expected to strengthen supply chain resilience and elevate DPL’s position within the competitive packaging sector.

As it enters this new phase of growth, Dangote Packaging Limited is poised to emerge as a leading force in Africa’s packaging industry – further cementing the Dangote Group’s reputation as a pioneer in industrial innovation and cross-border trade on the continent.
