Thomas Tewoldemedhin – Founder, President, and CEO of TNTech Canada
Thomas Tewoldemedhin is the founder, President, and CEO of TNTech Canada.
Tewoldemedhin is a successful young serial entrepreneur and a recognized community activist in the Greater Toronto Area. At age 18, he started his first website design company, and by the age of 23, he founded TNTech Canada in 2007.
Under his stewardship, the company, TNTech Canada has grown to become the largest on-site paging service company in Canada, and works with industries in the auto, hospitality, and retail sector. The company’s product holds more than 70 percent of the market in Canada.
Prior to founding TNTech Canada, Tewoldemedhin had acquired corporate experience as a software developer and system architect with IBM and charity organization – CanadaHelps.
Tewoldemedhin is an alumnus of the University of Toronto, where he earned his Bachelors in in Electrical and Computer Engineering.
Tewoldemedhin, continues to give back to the community – he is a much sought after public speaker for youth and community groups, and has served as a Vice-president and Director of Programs for the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE).
He has been recognized for his work in the community and as an entrepreneur, and is the holder of numerous awards which include: the Elijah McCoy Science and Technology Award; the Governor General’s Youth Award for community involvement and the Harry Jerome award for excellence.
