Leading tech entrepreneur, Angela Benton to speak at ICABA Business at Breakfast

(Black PR Wire) – Angela Benton (pictured), the founder and CEO of NewMe Accelerator will speak at the ICABA (Identify Connect Activate the Black Accomplished) Business at Breakfast, September 27, 2013 at 7:30 a.m. at the offices of Greenberg Traurig, PA., in Miami, Florida.

Ms. Benton is the youngest Hall of Fame inductee of Minority Media and Telecommunications Council (MMTC) and has been honored by Goldman Sachs as one of the “100 Most Intriguing Entrepreneurs.”

Benton launched NewMe in 2011.

NewMe’s mission is to accelerate underrepresented entrepreneurs around the world. NewMe has received critical acclaim from The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, and Inc. Magazine, among others for the work they are doing to ensure that technology entrepreneurship is accessible to women and minorities.

Additionally, Benton and the inaugural class of NewME Accelerator were featured in CNN’s award winning documentary series Black in America: The New Promised Land: Silicon Valley in 2011.

Since their launch, NewMe has accelerated over 150 startups through their 12 week program in San Francisco and their national 3 day program in cities around the country.
