St. Lucia shaken by 3.6 magnitude earthquake
An earthquake measuring 3.6 on the Richter scale has rattled St Lucia and was also felt in the neighboring twin island-nation of St Vincent & the Grenadines early Wednesday morning, the Trinidad & Tobago-based Seismic unit of the University of the West Indies (UWI) has confirmed.
It said that the earthquake, which caused no damage in the two countries, occurred at 3.45 am local time (2.45 am EST) and was located at 13.86 degrees north and 60.37 degrees west at a depth of 23 km (14.3 miles) -(CMC).
