Russell & Company) have also received numerous awards and honors including: Entrepreneur of the Year, National Black MBA Association – 1990; the Horatio Alger Award – 1991; Junior Achievement Atlanta Business Hall of Fame – 1992. He has serverd and continues to serve on the the Boards of many leading corporations and organizations across the United States, including the Citizens Trust Bank; Georgia Power Company, the Wachovia Bank, Georgia Ports Authority and the Atlanta Chamber of Commerce, to name a few.
