Michael Lee-Chin named chair of Jamaica’s Economic Growth Council
Jamaican entrepreneur Michael Lee-Chin has been named chairman of Jamaica’s Economic Growth Council.
Lee-Chin, the founder and CEO of investment company Portland Holdings Inc., is a philanthropist, and a serial entrepreneur involved in media, financial services, telecommunications and education.
The appointment which is scheduled to be announced today by the Prime Minister’s office, will need to be approved by parliament.
Michael Lee-Chin is currently the Chancellor of Wilfrid Laurier University, in Waterloo, Canada.
