The first storm of the Atlantic Hurricane Season as formed, but it is posing no threat to the Caribbean.
Tropical Storm Arlene is expected to make landfall in northeastern Mexico early tomorrow.

According to the Miami-based National Hurricane Centre’s latest advisory at 10 am, Tropical Storm Arlene was gradually strengthening and had maximum sustained winds of about 50 miles per hour.
Forecasters say Arlene could approach hurricane strength prior to landfall.
A tropical storm warning and a hurricane watch are in effect for the northeastern coast of Mexico.
Tropical Storm Arlene is located about 155 miles east southeast of Tampico and 110 miles east of Tuxpan.
