Supplementary Estimates no guarantee for IMF approval
The passage of the First Supplementary Estimates in Parliament will not guarantee a stamp of approval for the country’s economic programme by the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
The Financial Secretary Dr Wesley Hughes (pictured), told the Public Adminis-tration and Appropriations Committee of Parliament on Tuesday that, unless a replacement for a prematurely disturbed wage freeze is found, the programme could be in big trouble.
