Reigning world and Olympic 100m champion Shelly Ann Fraser-Pryce to race in Doha

Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce, Jamaica’s, freshly minted world indoor 60 meter champion, will be making her third appearance in Doha and will race the 100 meters after winning the 200 meters last season in the Qatari capital.
Fraser-Pryce will be up against double world sprint finalist Blessing Okagbare of Nigeria and Kerron Stewart, a 100 meters finalist at the Moscow worlds and 2008 Olympic 200 meters silver medallist.
U.S. trio Barbara Pierre, English Gardner and Alexandria Anderson will also race.
Elsewhere on the track, world 400m champion LaShawn Merritt will come up against American teammate Tony McQuay and Dominica’s Luguelin Santos. And the men’s 200 meter race will feature the reigning world silver and bronze medallists in Jamaican Warren Weir and American Curtis Mitchell.
