Mozambique: Economy grows 9.6% – higher than earlier forecast of 7.7%

The economy of Mozambique grew by an estimated 9.6 percent in 2014, higher than an earlier forecast of 7.7 percent, the government said on Wednesday.

Inflation averaged 2.56 percent during the year, compared with a target of 5.8 percent, it said in a statement.
