Mitzi Miller named new Editor-In-Chief of Ebony Magazine

Mitzi Miller (pictured), has been named as the new editor-in-chief of the Ebony magazine

According to Desiree Rogers, CEO of Johnson Publishing Company, Mitzi Miller “is a gifted editor with tremendous energy and passion, and her strong editorial background will catapult the Ebony magazine brand to greater heights,” Rogers said in a press release. “We are thrilled to have Mitzi in our JPC family and are excited to see the new direction she will bring to the magazine.”

Miller comes to Ebony Magazine after serving as editor-in-chief of JET magazine from 2011. She was responsible for the re-branding and relaunching the 62-year-old weekly publication.

“I am extremely humbled to be trusted with the responsibility of leading the number one African American publication in the United States,” said Miller. “I am excited about all the possibilities as I assume my new role.”

Ms. Miller takes on the new role immediately.
