Ethiopian Airlines Continues Dominance: Awarded Skytrax’s Best Airline in Africa 2024 for the Seventh Consecutive Year

Ethiopian Airlines has once again secured the prestigious Best Airline in Africa title for the seventh consecutive year, along with several other notable accolades.

Ethiopian Airlines has been recognized for:

• Best Airline in Africa for seven consecutive years.
• Best Business Class in Africa for six consecutive years.
• Best Economy Class in Africa for six consecutive years.
• Best Economy Class Onboard Catering in Africa.

Mesfin Tasew, Group CEO of Ethiopian Airlines, expressed his pride in receiving the Skytrax World Airlines 2024 award for the seventh year in a row. He stated, “At Ethiopian Airlines, our unwavering dedication to customer-centric innovation has been pivotal to our success. We remain at the forefront of the aviation industry by continually adopting cutting-edge technology to elevate our passengers’ experience.”

In the African ranking, Ethiopian Airlines was followed by Royal Air Maroc, South African Airways, Kenya Airways, and RwandAir, which took the 2nd to 5th positions respectively.

Globally, Ethiopian Airlines was ranked 36th, one spot lower than the previous year, while Royal Air Maroc was ranked 55th.

On the global stage, Qatar Airways reclaimed its position as the world’s best airline for the eighth time in 25 years, overtaking last year’s winner, Singapore Airlines, which slipped to second place this year.

Emirates, ANA All Nippon Airways, Cathay Pacific Airways, and Japan Airlines were ranked 3rd to 6th respectively, according to the Skytrax Airlines Awards.
