Dangote Group acquires Netherlands-based gas company – Twister B.V.
Twister acquisition is part of Dangote’s strategy meet Nigeria’s gas requirements
The Dangote Group, last month acquired a gas plant, Twister B.V., a company headquartered in The Netherlands.
According to a statement released by the Dangote Group, the acquisition would complement the company’s portfolio of investments in the upstream, midstream and downstream segments of oil and gas sector.
Twister B.V., was formerly owned by Shell Technology Ventures Fund 1 before its recent acquisition by the Dangote Group.
Chairman and founder of the Dangote Group, Aliko Dangote said, “this is an important acquisition for us, Twister’s cutting-edge gas processing technology is fundamental to delivering our strategy to unlock about 3 billion cubic feet per day of gas in order to meet Nigeria’s gas needs.”
Twister B.V.’s CEO, John Young, said: “We are delighted in the confidence the Dangote Group has shown in Twister to be its core provider of gas separation solutions. After a very thorough due diligence, our technology has been recognized as a key enabler to reduce gas project costs, which is crucial in this current environment.
