Dangote: Africa can only be developed through investments by Africans

The CEO and President of the Dangote Group, Aliko Dangote has urged African business men and women to increase their investment stake across the continent to spur growth, development and job creation on the continent.

Africa he said, can only be better developed through investments by Africans.

Mr. Dangote has also joined the growing chorus that investment not aid will be with solution to many of Africa’s problems. He enjoined the Western nations not to “give any more aid to Africa” but to partner with businesses on the continent.

“Investors will make more money and it’s better for everyone, and the continent will experience real growth and development”.

Dangote argued that few people know much about Africa and instead rely on historical information or hearsay for its facts. “I am not saying it is as good as elsewhere but investment in the continent comes with almost the highest return on investment in the world.

Under the stewardship of Aliko Dangote, the Dangote Group has grown its investment presence in 14 African countries and counting.
