Cameroonian Seme Noungon launches Altylis Seme Telecom – the Central African region’s first low cost wireless operator
Cameroonian entrepreneur and businessman Seme Noungon (pictured), is set to launch a low cost cellular telephone company in the relatively uncrowded Central African market later this month.
According to sources familiar to the wireless industry in the Central African region, the new cellular operator Altylis Seme Telecom, to slash cellular service prices in the region” using voice over IP (VolP) technology so that consumers can fully enjoy phone services at reduced prices.
Noungon with his Altylis Seme Telecom intends to compete effectively with South African telecommunications giant MTN and French multinational, Orange – which are the larger cellular operators in the region.
Altylis Seme Telecom is backed by funding worth US$10 million from the Afriland First Bank
