Two earthquakes rock East Caribbean states

Several countries in the eastern Caribbean were struck by two earthquakes Thursday morning.

According to the Seismic Research Center at the University of the West Indies (UWI), the first tremor struck at 01:56 local time with a magnitude of 3.5, affecting sections of St. Kitts & Nevis, Antigua & Barbuda, and Guadeloupe.

The earthquake originated at a depth of 10 kilometers (6 miles).

Shortly before this incident, at 01:29, another earthquake rattled the region. This time, Barbados took the epicenter stage, experiencing a 3.7 magnitude quake.

The impact of this tremor was also felt in neighboring islands including St. Vincent and the Grenadines and St. Lucia, heightening the sense of alarm in the area.

There have been no reports of injuries or damage resulting from these seismic events. -(CMC)
