Trinidad hit with a 3.8-magnitude earthquake

An earthquake with a magnitude of 3.8 jolted Trinidad on Monday. There have been no immediate reports of injuries or damage.

The earthquake which occurred at 08.08 AM local-time (07.08 AM EST), was located 10.49 north and 61.72 west, and had a depth of 98 km, according to a statement from The University of the West Indies Seismic Research Center (SRC) in St Augustine.

The Seismic Research Center said that the quake, which occurred west of Trinidad in the Gulf of Paria, was felt in the Port of Spain area and in central Trinidad.
