Residents of St. Lucia were rattled again on Sunday night after a second earthquake struck the island-nation, just three days after a similar tremor, according to the Trinidad-based Seismic Research Centre (SRC).

The latest quake, recorded at a magnitude of 4.4, occurred at 8:51 p.m. local time at a depth of 15 kilometers (9 miles). The tremor was felt as far as 31 kilometers (19 miles) south of Fort-de-France, Martinique, and 112 kilometers (67 miles) south-southeast of Roseau, the capital of Dominica, the SRC reported.

Authorities confirmed there have been no reports of damage or injuries following Sunday’s event.

The incident follows a 4.0-magnitude earthquake that shook the island-nation on Thursday at a depth of 10 kilometers (6.6 miles). That quake was felt 70 kilometers (46 miles) east of Kingstown, the capital of St. Vincent & the Grenadines, and 110 kilometers (73 miles) west of Bridgetown, the capital of Barbados.

The Caribbean region, located along the boundary of several tectonic plates, is prone to seismic activity, with experts consistently urging residents to remain prepared for earthquakes of varying intensities.
