San Francisco African American Chamber of Commerce seeks business in Fiji

Wednesday, May 16, 2012

There were discussions with the Prime Minister on agriculture and Mr Jordan believes there are opportunities for Fiji to export fruits and vegetables.

Shonda Scott, who visited Fiji in September 2011, said there was also a big Fijian population in San Francisco.

Mr Singh said the partnership between the chamber could enhance the skills and expertise of local business people.

Ms Scott said she was interested to meet with Film Fiji and understand the local requirements for shooting a movie.

Architect, Myles Clay Stevens, said he was interested in renewable energy projects.

He was involved in the construction of the San Francisco Airport and said similar projects could be carried out in Fiji.

Mr Stevens said there was a US government funding facility which would fund 70 percent of the project.
