President Obama’s approval ratings highest since 2009 – Bloomberg poll

President Barack Obama’s approval ratings are at their highest since 2009, and and Americans prefer his economic message to that of his increasingly unpopular GOP opponents, according to a Bloomberg poll released Wednesday.
The results of the poll indicate that 55 percent of Americans approve of Mr. Obama’s job performance, while 40 percent disapprove. Only 35 percent of Americans have a favorable view of the Republican party.
The same poll also revealed that 47 percent approve of Obama’s handling of the economy, while 49 percent disapproves.
The poll was conducted in the period February 15-18.
