Nominees for Jamaica’s Sportsman and Sportswoman of the Year 2012 named

The nominees for the Jamaica’s sportsman and sportswoman of the year have been announced.

The nominees for sportsman of the year are: athletes Nickel Ashmeade, Yohan Blake, Usain Bolt, Hansle Parchment and Warren Weir, along with cricketers Chris Gayle and Marlon Samuels.

The nominees for sportswoman of the year are: Alcia Ashley (boxing), Alia Atkinson (Swimming), Veronica Campbell Brown, Shelly Ann Fraser Pryce and Kaliese Spencer (athletics) and Stephanie Tayor (cricket).
