Golding to give farewell address tonight

The outgoing Prime Minister of Jamaica, Bruce Golding (pictured), will address the nation tonight at 8.00pm local time on both radio and television stations. It is expected to be his farewell address.

The speech will also address the transfer of power from himself to the prime minister-designate, Andrew Holness.

Holness will be sworn in on Sunday.

Golding met Friday, with members of the diplomatic corps; the Cabinet and the staff of the Office of the Prime Minister (PMO) where he expressed his appreciation for their cooperation and support throughout his four years as Prime Minister.
