Earthquake of magnitude 3.3 rocks Dominica
The Seismic Center at the University of the West Indies says an earthquake with a magnitude of 3.3 was felt in southern Dominica yesterday.
The Seismic Center located on the St. Augustine Campus in Trinidad & Tobago, reports that at 1:37 pm (local time) , the tremors were felt close to the Petite Soufriere area.
The center said that because the event was relatively shallow at 12 kilometers (7.5 miles) it would have been felt in the Southern part of the island-nation.
This was followed by a small burst of smaller earthquakes.
There were no reports of injuries or damage. -(CMC)
