Earthquake of magnitude 5.0 rattles Trinidad & Tobago
An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.0 rattled Trinidad & Tobago early on Tuesday, but there were no immediate reports of injuries or damages.
According to the Seismic Unit of the University of the West Indies (UWI), the earthquake, which occurred at 6:59 am local time (5:59 EST), was located at a depth of 10 kilometers (6 miles), 126 kilometers (78 miles) west of the capital, Port of Spain.
The Seismic Unit said that the earthquake was also felt Carupano and Maturin in Venezuela. – (CMC)
