Eleni Zaude Gabre-Madhin. Nationality: Ethiopian
Eleni Zaude Gabre-Madhin is a famed economist and a former CEO of the Ethiopia Commodity Exchange. Gabre-Madhin is widely regarded as the driving force behind the creation of the Ethiopia Commodity Exchange.
During her time as CEO, Gabre-Madhin was instrumental in helping build on the Ethiopia Commodity Exchange’s mandate of fostering a modern and efficient trading system. Gabre-Madhin was born in Addis Ababa and has lived in New York, Rwanda, Togo, Malawi and Kenya. She also holds a PhD in Economics.
