Senegal’s new President, Bassirou Diomaye Faye, has kept his promise to publicly declare his assets, offering a comprehensive view into his financial situation. Currently, President Faye earns a monthly salary of US$8,000.

The disclosed information reveals that the 44-year-old President holds bank balances of US$12,500, US$24,500, and US$4.47 across three different accounts. He also has two outstanding bank loans that need to be settled.

A significant portion of President Faye’s declared assets is in real estate. He owns a house valued at over US$450,000, showcasing a substantial investment in property. This declaration comes amidst growing calls for transparency and accountability in public office, setting a strong precedent for other leaders in the region.
