Kentucky State University President Raymond Burse takes pay cut to raise salary of employees

Interim Kentucky State University President Raymond Burse has reduced his salary by US$90,000 to raise the salary of the 24 lowest paid employees by as much as 40 percent.
Burse, a highly successful retired corporate lawyer who already served a previous stint as the University’s president, was cajoled back to head the school after after the former president Mary Evans Sias, retired in June.
The Kentucky State University is an HBCU (historically black university) established in Frankfort, Kentucky in 1886.
