Anthaea-Grace Dennis, at the age of 12, has become the youngest graduate in the history of the University of Ottawa and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in the University of Toronto’s Temerty Faculty of Medicine.

Turning 13 next month, Dennis is affiliated with the University Health Network’s Krembil Brain Institute, where she is actively involved in researching how artificial intelligence can enhance the diagnosis of Parkinson’s disease.

Dennis emphasizes the potential of artificial intelligence to identify crucial distinctions in a patient’s symptomological and medical data, potentially leading to earlier and more accurate diagnoses. Her research aims to contribute to advancements in the understanding and diagnosis of movement disorders like Parkinson’s.
