Former Chelsea striker Didier Drogba will announce his future in the coming days, with Chinese side Shanghai Shenhua favourites to secure his signature.
Drogba, 34, will be without a club when his contract with Chelsea expires at the end of June and has told media outlets his next move will be “interesting”.
“The next step is interesting. I will announce it soon. But as of now, you will just have to wait,” Drogba told reporters on a promtional trip to India.
He added: “Chelsea were very good for me. I shared a special relationship with the club. It was a difficult decision to leave them.”
