Cullen Jones teaches kids to swim
Cullen Jones (pictured), is an Olympic gold medallist – having won the medal in the 2008 Beijing Games.
He was not always so fortunate in the water. At the age of five, Jones nearly drowned.
Jones is working to teach young children about water safety and change one shocking statistic: about 70 percent of African-American children either cannot swim at all or have little ability to swim. Nationwide, minority children drown three times as often as white children.
