Injured striker Asamoah Gyan has been named in Ghana’s final 23-man squad for the Africa Cup of Nations.
Gyan, who is on loan at UAE side Al-Ain from Sunderland, has been hampered by a hamstring injury and was a doubt for the tournament, which starts in Gabon and Equatorial Guinea on 21 January.
But coach Goran Stevanovic has included the 26-year-old in the party after he made “good progress” in his recovery.
The Black Stars squad are in South Africa preparing for the tournament.
