Jamaica: Portia-Simpson dares Holness to call election
With Prime Minister Andrew Holness expected to name the date for the next general election today, officials of the People’s National Party (PNP) last night taunted him to call it.
At a massive meeting in Cross Roads St Andrew last night, PNP president Opposition Leader Portia Simpson Miller (pictured), presented the party’s 63 candidates as she declared that the comrades are ready to go to the polls.
With thousands of comrades cheering her on, Simpson Miller declared that the PNP was ready to take control of the affairs of the State.
