Jamaica Labor Party meets today

A long list of thorny issues, including the ratification of several candidates and the image of Jamaica Labour Party leader Bruce Golding, are among the agenda items of the party’s central executive when it meets later today.

The Jamaica Labor Party (JLP) meets today to discuss the ratification of candidates and to revamp the image of the JLP leader, Prime Minister Bruce Golding (pictured).

Top level members of the JLP will be discussing the results of a focus group study undertaken by University of the West Indies (UWI), commissioned by Mr. Golding to assess his political appeal in the run-up to the next national election.

Mr. Golding’s address is expected to be the highlight of the meeting, especially since it follows on the heels of the 73rd conference of the People’s National Party (PNP) last Sunday.
