Haiti: Laurent Lamothe to be ratified as Prime Minister on Tuesday

Haiti’s Prime Minister-designate Laurent Lamothe, on Thursday met leaders of the Inite Political Party in order to speak about his vision and perspective on how he wishes to govern the country. Other negotiations were held as Tuesday’s ratification hearing approaches.
Inite Spokesman, Deputy Sorel Jacinthe (Moron/Inite), told the Haiti Press Network that the meeting was held at the request of Lamothe who was nominated by his close and longtime friend President Michel Martelly.
“He told us about his vision on education, political parties and how he plans to govern in general, but we can not decide,” said MP Saurel Jacinthe.
Barring any surprises, the ratification session in the senate should be called to order on Tuesday.
