College student Jeramey Anderson sworn in to the Mississippi House of Representatives

Jeramey Anderson was sworn in to the Mississippi House of Representatives on December 6, a date which happened to be his 22nd birthday.

Anderson won the special run-off election on November 26 to fill the seat former Rep. Billy Broomfield vacated to become mayor of Moss Point. Anderson’s first legislative session will be on January 7, 2014.

Anderson who is still a college student, was born and raised in Moss Point, his interest in politics began in high school. He was his class president from sophomore through senior year. His interest to seriously enter politics was sparked after attending a political camp in 11th grade.
