World re-known neurosurgeon, Ben Carson, has revealed that he will announce before May 1 whether he will seek the presidency of the United States.

Carson, who has no political experience – but affiliated to the Republican Party, was vaulted onto the political stage in early 2013, two years ago at a National Prayer Breakfast.

Although he has not explicity declared his intentions, Carson has already selected businessman Terry Giles, to be his campaign manager – and has already put in place the necessary political infrastructure to support his bid.

Carson is a passionate defender of many of the conservative values including the pro-life movement, free market healthcare, religious freedom, however, he is known to be lukewarm on the issue of gun rights.
