St. Kitts and Nevis: Prime Minister Denzil Douglas facing no confidence motion
This motion is the first of its kind in St. Kitts and Nevis’ parliament. He said the ramifications of this motion went beyond ousting the Prime Minister and possibly having a new federal government.
Two elected members of the prime minister’s cabinet, Dr. Timothy Harris and deputy prime minister Sam Condor have in recent House of Assembly sittings spoken against Bills brought to the House by their leader.
According to the former parliamentarian, “It will be interesting to see not only how Condor and Harris will vote, but if the motion is defeated, how that will play out in the ranks of the Labor Party.” -(CMC)
