As Jamaica’s election nears, more supporting term limits
More than half of Jamaicans polled agree that prime ministers should be subjected to term limits, according to a survey conducted by Don Anderson and his team from Market Research Services Limited.
Anderson, who sought public opinion on the issue in the lead-up to next week’s general election, said that 63 percent of the 1,000 registered voters interviewed between December 5 and 11 supported the notion of fixed terms for sitting prime ministers, 31 percent were opposed to the idea, while 4 percent said they were not sure and 2 percent gave no answer.
