Serena Williams is on track to regain the world No.1 ranking for a sixth time – she will become the oldest woman to top the standings, she turns 32 in September this year. She first held the No.1 ranking in 2002.
Williams with 9400 points is currently ranked No.3 behind Victoria Azarenka (10,595 points) and Maria Sharapova (10,045 points).
Williams also said she believes she can win all four majors this year, a feat that looks quite possible considering that she concluded 2012 by winning 31 of her final 32 matches. If she wins the Australian Open, she will become the first player to win three straight Slams since she won four in a row starting with the 2002 French Open and ending with the 2003 Australian Open.
