Trinidad & Tobago Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar has reshuffled her cabinet placing appointing Gary Griffith the new National Security Minister, replacing Jack Warner who resigned a few months ago.
Persad-Bissessar announced the changes at a post-cabinet press briefing held at the Office of the Prime Minister Thursday afternoon.
“Starting today and as promised, I have taken stock of the performances in my Government over time, examined where more needs to be done and who is best suited to perform in what area in order to accelerate the speed of delivery to meet the expectations of the public. In this regard, I have decided to make several changes…..”
The Prime Minister stated that during the last reconfiguration of the Cabinet she promised to review the performances of Ministers of Government against the demands and satisfaction of the people and would make decisive moves for further changes. -(CMC)
