Trinidad & Tobago jolted by magnitude 5.2 earthquake

An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.2 was felt in sections of Trinidad & Tobago on Sunday afternoon.

The Seismic Research Center at the University of the West Indies St. Augustine campus reports that the tremor was felt at 12:35 pm EDT had a depth of 80 kilometers (50 miles) and was located at Latitude: 11.51 North and Longitude: 60.12 West.

In the twin-island republic it was felt 78 kilometers (48 miles) north east of Scarborough, 161 kilometers (100 miles) north east of Arima and 181 kilometers (112 miles) north east of Port of Spain.

There have been no reports of injuries or damages. -(CMC)
