The Bahamas is gaining momentum in the financial services industry, rising into the top three for specialized financial centers.
The Bahamas ranks third behind the Cayman Islands and Guernsey. This represents a rise in two spots, when The Bahamas came in fifth in 2011.
The ranking of international financial centers (IFCs) is based on data ranging from financial markets indicators to economic potential and business environment factors. The ranking focuses on the degree to which international business institutions seek to expand their operations within the country.
