St. Vincent & the Grenadines looking to establish cannabis industry

Acres Agri, a Vincentian-based company, is continuing its preparation towards the full realization of the establishment of the medicinal cannabis industry in St. Vincent & the Grenadines.
Recently, the company brought in scientists, who visited various farm lands, took soil and water samples and held discussions with many farmers on numerous issues pertinent to the medicinal cannabis industry.
The scientists looked primarily at the growth potential for cannabis cultivation in a controlled environment.
Each of the scientists has over 20 years experience in various areas of medicinal cannabis cultivation, and in the standards, which have been applied since the early 1990s, when the state of California in the United States began its process.
In the 1990s, California was at a stage where St. Vincent & the Grenadines is at present in its development of a medicinal cannabis industry for the twin-island nation.
The group will be introducing the standard operating procedures for the industry, such as growing medicinal grade cannabis, and the production of medicinal grade cannabis by-products.
The visit by the scientists is another step by Acres Agri efforts in ensuring that there is a product which is not just sustainable, but marketable outside the confines of St. Vincent & the Grenadines.
