South Africa: Mall under construction collapses – unconfirmed number of workers trapped

Paramedics in South Africa say part of a shopping mall under construction has collapsed, trapping up to 50 workers inside.
The South African Press Association (SAPA) reported that the accident happened in Tongaat, near the eastern coastal city of Durban.
SAPA is quoting Chris Botha, a spokesman for emergency responders in the area, as saying an “unconfirmed number” of 50 people are trapped inside.
The agency also quotes a fire department chief, Mark te Water, as saying workmen were trapped and his department is sending units to the scene.
