Singer and entrepreneur Akon, launches the Akon Motor Sports, signs on Joe Hendersen III and ventures into NASCAR

Music star and serial entrepreneur Akon is venturing into the world of race car driving.
Akon recently launched Akon Motor Sports and signed on African American driver Joe Henderson III. Henderson and Akon Motor Sports team will be competing in the NASCAR Pro Seies East race at the Langley Speedway in Virgina on June the 22nd. His love of cars have lead him to turn his hobby into a profitable career. He hopes his passion for motor sport will encourage more minority involvement in NASCAR racing, and motor sport as a whole.
Akon has been quite successful at many of his business interests – including helping the launch of the musical career of Lady Gaga.
