Shark Tank investor Daymond John is set to host the fifth annual Black Entrepreneurs Day, reaffirming his dedication to supporting small businesses by offering US$100,000 in grants.
This initiative was originally launched in response to the racial justice movement that followed the death of George Floyd. It aims to provide grants exclusively to Black-owned businesses, with no equity exchange required.
Applications will be accepted until November 1.
John stresses the importance of having a strong and clearly defined vision for applicants.
“If you can articulate that vision, detail who you are helping, explain why you are the right person for the task, and describe how the funds will make a difference, that’s all you need,” he states.
