Raffi Williams tasked by RNC to reach out to African American voters

The Republican National Committee (RNC) has hired the son of Fox News commentator Juan Williams to coordinate the party’s efforts to reach out to young and African American voters.

This development comes shortly after RNC chair Reince Priebus admitted that his party has been unable to appeal to the youth and minorities.

Raffi Williams has been named the deputy press secretary of the RNC and has been tasked with helping the Republican Party make inroads into the African American community in addition to other minorities.

Williams knows politics, having grown up in Washington, D.C., with a famous pundit for a dad. He’s also a rising star in the Republican Party.

In 2012, he worked for Michigan Rep. Dan Benishek’s successful re-election campaign and served as deputy communications director for the conservative Republican Study Committee before joining the RNC just a couple weeks ago. Black Enterprise just named him one of “10 Black Republicans You Probably Don’t Know But Should.
