Delores Lawrence is the Founder, President and CEO of NHI Nursing & Homemakers Inc., a company that provides Health Care Services and case management that include medical, dental, nursing and home health care services.

Ms. Lawrence launched the company in 1985, and under her stewardship the company has grown to the extent that it now employs approximately 2000 healthcare professionals with annual revenues of over CDN$100 million (US$100.2 million). She continues to do an outstanding job in overseeing the company’s operations and continues to ensure efficiency, quality, service and cost effective management of resources.

The company’s clientele includes hospitals, long term care facilities, public and private medical/dental organizations/offices and home care clients, and because of it’s outstanding record, the company was a recipient of the coveted Canadian Consumers’ Choice Award for 3 consecutive years from 2007 to 2010.

Ms. Lawrence is a registered nurse. She is an alumnus of York University in Toronto, Ontario, where she earned her BA; the University of New Hampshire where she earned her MBA and is also graduate of the Rotman Institute of Corporate Governance Program.

Ms. Lawrence – a philanthropist and community builder, is a high quality performer with the ability to motivate teams towards commonality of purpose, and the pursuit of excellence in achieving articulated business goals. She has a strong track record of initiating and managing organizational change, ability to analyze and resolve complex business, organizational, operational, financial and human resource issues by applying the knowledge and skills acquired in a range of leadership roles, including significant, governance, financial and change management.

Ms. Lawrence is a recipient of numerous awards, some of which include: The Order of Ontario; The Bell Business award (Harry Jerome award 2010). Her business acumen, skill and experience has benefited numerous organizations in various capacities including: Director of Sunnybrook Women’s Hospital (in Toronto), Chairperson of the Operation Black Vote Canada, Director of the Toronto International Film Festival Group, Chair of the New Pioneers Awards, Church Warden and Chair of the Advisory Council of the Anglican Church, Director to the 2008 Toronto Olympic Bid Committee and the Director of the Toronto Training Advisory Board.
