Profile: Dee Daniels founder and CEO of Digital Diva 2.0

Dee Daniels (pictured), 48, is a former print and broadcast journalist who in 2004 created a news publication, Noir Woman News, a monthly insert in the Chicago Sun-Times. That business has evolved to an online product, a multimedia website that aims to be a voice for women in the African-American community.

Ms. Daniels also runs another site, the Noir Woman Ad Network. In January, Ms. Daniels launched her newest entrepreneurial effort, Digital Diva 2.0 Women in Technology, a website covering women-owned startups that also will host networking events with panels and guest speakers. The idea behind Digital Diva 2.0 is to inspire female tech entrepreneurs and wouldbe entrepreneurs and to provide a forum for them to network.
